The villa is directly on the beachfront, so the sea and sand are steps from the door.

The property is 4.1 km from Cala Comte, a west-facing cove with clear water and small islets offshore, and 4.3 km from Cala d'Hort, the cove that looks across to Es Vedrà. Sant Antoni de Portmany is 8.5 km away. A car is useful for reaching these places; the villa has free parking. In July and August the roads to the popular coves are busy; in May, June and September the area is quieter.

Getting there

Seasonal buses run from the airport to Sant Antoni and the south beaches, but a direct bus to Cala Tarida is limited; check the island bus operator for current routes.

Ibiza Town port is 17.9 km straight line; a taxi or hire car takes about 25-30 minutes. Sant Antoni de Portmany is 8.5 km away. In summer, some buses run along the coast between Sant Antoni and the western coves; in winter, services are fewer. Flights and ferries to Ibiza are reduced from November to April. The villa is easiest to reach with a car.

Beaches, sights and food nearby

Cala Comte, 4.1 km away, is a shallow cove with clear turquoise water and small islets offshore; it is known for sunsets. Cala d'Hort, 4.3 km away, faces Es Vedrà, a limestone islet about 380 m high that is a nature reserve with no landing. The Torre des Savinar watchtower is 6.1 km away; a walk there gives views of the coast and Es Vedrà. Sa Talaia, the highest point on Ibiza at about 475 m, is 5.8 km away and can be climbed for a panorama of the island.

Sant Antoni de Portmany, 8.5 km away, has a bay facing west, a promenade and a marina. The north shore of the bay is the sunset strip. Local food includes bullit de peix, a fish stew served in two courses, and arròs a banda, a rice dish. Fresh fish and rice dishes are common in the area. After lunch at the villa, drive 4.3 km to Cala d'Hort for views of Es Vedrà. The Torre des Savinar walk, 6.1 km away, takes an hour or so and gives a wide view of the coast. Return to Casa Ana for an evening swim and dinner on the terrace. The sunset is visible from the villa or from Cala Comte, a short drive away.

Practical tips

Much of Ibiza's tourism business closes roughly from November to April; check Casa Ana's opening dates directly. July and August are the busiest months, with more traffic on the roads to the coves. The Balearic sustainable tourism tax (ecotasa) is charged per person per night by the accommodation; the rate depends on the type of accommodation and the season, is reduced in low season and for longer stays, and children under 16 are exempt.
