From Villa Savinar, Cala d'Hort is 1.6 km away, so you can walk or drive down to the cove. Cala Comte, with its shallow clear water and islets offshore, is 7.3 km away. Ibiza Town, with its port and Dalt Vila, is 17.5 km away. A car is essential for exploring the coast and getting to shops, as public buses are limited in this rural area. In high summer the roads to Cala d'Hort and Cala Comte can be busy, but the cove itself remains quieter than the south beaches. In May, June, September and October, the area is much calmer and the weather is still warm.

If you arrive by ferry at Ibiza Town port, the villa is 17.5 km away in a straight line. From the port, take the ring road towards Sant Antoni and then follow signs to Cala d'Hort. Sant Antoni de Portmany is 10.8 km away, so it is a short drive from there. In winter, flights and ferries are fewer, and some seasonal buses stop running, so check the island bus operator for current schedules. The villa is best reached by car, and the free parking on site makes that easy.

Beaches, sights and food nearby

The nearest beach is Cala d'Hort, 1.6 km from the villa. It is a small cove with pebbles and sand, facing Es Vedrà. The islet is a nature reserve, and nobody lands there, so you can only admire it from the shore or from the water. The Torre des Savinar watchtower is 3.6 km away, a short drive or a longer walk along the coast. From the tower, you get a wide view of the sea and the islet. Climbing Sa Talaia, the highest point on Ibiza at about 475 m, is 5.8 km away and takes you above the island's interior.

Cala Comte, 7.3 km away, has shallow clear water and islets offshore, making it popular for swimming and snorkelling. Sant Antoni de Portmany, 10.8 km away, is the nearest town with a full range of services. Practical tips

Much of Ibiza's tourism business closes roughly from November to April, so check with Villa Savinar about its opening dates before booking. July and August are the peak months, when the island is busiest and the weather is hottest. The Balearic sustainable tourism tax, also called the ecotasa, is charged per person per night by the accommodation. The rate depends on the type of accommodation and the season, and it is reduced in low season and for longer stays. Children under 16 are exempt.
