Location: Santa Eulària des Riu

Villa Panorama sits in Can Furnet, a quiet hillside area east of Ibiza Town. The immediate surroundings are countryside with scattered villas and pine woods. It is not a beachfront property: the nearest coast is Talamanca, a calm bay 3.7 km away in a straight line. Ibiza Town port and Dalt Vila are about 5 km away. A car is essential for shopping, eating out or reaching the beaches.

In high summer the area stays quieter than the coastal resorts, though the roads to Ibiza Town and Talamanca can be busy. In the shoulder months of May, June, September and October the pace is slower and parking easier. Much of the island's tourism business closes roughly from November to April; check with the property whether the villa is open in winter.

Rooms and facilities

The villa is listed with a kitchen, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a refrigerator and a coffee maker. There is a TV and a DVD player, free WiFi, air conditioning, a hairdryer, an iron and board, and toiletries. The terrace and balcony have outdoor furniture, and the garden has a picnic area. The property also has a sofa bed, so the sleeping capacity may be flexible.

Guests arriving late should confirm the check-in procedure with the property, as there is no front desk. The kitchen allows self-catering for any meal time. Pets are allowed, which is useful for those travelling with a dog or cat. The free car parking on site means no need to find street parking.

Getting there

Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is 11.4 km away in a straight line. A taxi is the most direct option; a hire car collected at the airport gives flexibility for the whole stay. Buses run from the airport to Ibiza Town, but from the town you would need a taxi or a further bus to Can Furnet. A hire car is strongly recommended.

Ibiza Town port, where ferries from Formentera, Palma, Barcelona, Valencia and Dénia arrive, is 4.6 km away. Talamanca is 3.7 km away. From the port a taxi to the villa takes about ten minutes. In winter, flights and ferries are fewer; check the schedules with the operators.

Practical tips

Much of Ibiza's tourism business closes roughly from November to April; check with Villa Panorama whether it is open during your travel dates. July and August are the peak months with the highest demand and temperatures. The Balearic sustainable tourism tax (the ecotasa) is charged per person per night by the accommodation; the rate depends on the season and the type of accommodation, is reduced in low season and for longer stays, and children under 16 are exempt. Check the current rate with the Govern de les Illes Balears.
