Ibiza Town port is 5.8 km away, so a taxi from the ferry terminal takes about 10-15 minutes. Playa d'en Bossa is 3.8 km away and Dalt Vila is 5.2 km away. In winter, flights and ferries are fewer, and some seasonal bus lines stop running. Check the island bus operator for current timetables.

Beaches, sights and food nearby

Playa d'en Bossa is 3.8 km from Villa Romeo, a long sandy beach with shallow water and a range of beach bars and restaurants. Talamanca is 6.8 km away, a calm bay across the marina from Ibiza Town. The Puig des Molins necropolis, a Phoenician-Punic burial site and part of the UNESCO listing, is 4.7 km away.

Dalt Vila, the walled old town of Ibiza, is 5.2 km away. Walk the Renaissance walls and see the cathedral at the top. The Sa Caleta Phoenician settlement is 5.4 km away. For food, try bullit de peix and arròs a banda, the island's fish stew served in two courses, at a restaurant in Ibiza Town or Playa d'en Bossa.

A day from Villa Romeo

Start the morning at Villa Romeo with breakfast on the terrace. Drive 3.8 km to Playa d'en Bossa for a swim and a walk along the sand. The beach is long and has shallow water. In the late morning, drive 5.2 km to Dalt Vila and walk the walls of the old town. Visit the cathedral at the top and look out over the port.

For lunch, find a restaurant in Ibiza Town or near the port. In the afternoon, drive 4.7 km to the Puig des Molins necropolis to see the Phoenician-Punic tombs. Return to the villa for a swim in the outdoor pool and an evening on the terrace. Dinner could be at a restaurant in Playa d'en Bossa or a self-catered meal at the villa.

Practical tips

Much of Ibiza's tourism business closes roughly from November to April. Check with Villa Romeo for its opening dates. July and August are the peak months, with higher demand and more traffic. The Balearic sustainable tourism tax (the ecotasa) is charged per person per night by the accommodation; the rate depends on the type of accommodation and the season, is reduced in low season and for longer stays, and children under 16 are exempt.
