The Naveta des Tudons, a prehistoric boat-shaped tomb, is 8.1 km straight line away, a short drive east. Cala Turqueta, a white-sand cove on the south coast, is 12.3 km straight line; arrive early in summer or take the bus from Ciutadella, as the car park fills quickly.

The south-coast coves of Cala Galdana (15.5 km straight line), Cala Macarella and Cala en Porter are within a 20-30 minute drive. The Camí de Cavalls passes near the villa; you can join the trail for coastal walks. Es Mercadal and Monte Toro, the island's highest point at about 358 m, are 25.3 km straight line away, with views of both coasts. A day from Villa Amatista

Start the morning with a swim in the villa's outdoor pool, then drive 3.8 km to Ciutadella for breakfast at a café near the port. Mid-morning, drive 12.3 km to Cala Turqueta for a swim in clear water; bring a picnic from the supermarket in Ciutadella, as the cove has limited facilities.

After lunch, drive 8.1 km to the Naveta des Tudons, then head back towards Cala en Blanes for a late-afternoon rest by the pool. In the evening, return to Ciutadella for a stroll along the harbour at sunset and dinner at one of the fish restaurants in the port area. The drive back to the villa takes less than ten minutes.
