Rules can change: confirm on the official site before you travel. imptbalearic.es is a hotel and travel site; it does not issue visas.
Andorran citizens travel to Spain without a visa, and that covers holidays on Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera. The allowance is 90 days in any 180-day period, counted across the whole Schengen area rather than per island or per country. Carry a valid passport, expect a short document check on arrival, and confirm the current EU border systems before booking. Stays beyond the limit, or any work or study, need a national visa or residence permit.
What visa-free status means
Andorra is on the EU visa list of nationalities exempt from short-stay Schengen visas. As an Andorran citizen you can travel to Spain without a visa for holidays, family visits or short business trips, staying up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
The exemption covers short stays only. It does not give the right to work, run a business or settle in Spain, and it does not replace a residence permit. No special condition is recorded for Andorran nationals in the visa list table.
Before you travel and at the border
Carry a valid Andorran passport. The general Schengen rule applies: valid for at least three months beyond the date you plan to leave the Schengen area, and issued within the previous ten years. ETIAS and EES are new EU systems being introduced, so check https://travel-europe.europa.eu/ before travelling.
Border officers may ask where you are staying and when you are leaving. Keep a return booking, an accommodation address and proof of funds to hand. No consulate appointment is needed for a short holiday, but rules change, so check the official pages.
Arriving on the islands
Ibiza Airport (IBZ) and Menorca Airport (MAH) are the air gateways for these islands. Both take Schengen arrivals, so as an Andorran citizen you use the same channel as Spanish travellers, with identity checks on arrival. Allow time in busy summer weeks.
Formentera has no airport. Fly to Ibiza and continue by ferry from the port of Eivissa to La Savina; the same crossing brings you back. Mallorca is a transit point only for this guide, used for connecting flights and ferries. Ferry timetables change with the season.
Staying longer, working or studying
A stay beyond 90 days in any 180-day period, or any work, business or study in Spain, is not covered by visa-free entry. You need a national visa or a residence permit from the Spanish authorities. The Balearic Islands follow Spanish national rules.
Requirements and appointment systems change. Check the Spanish consular pages and the EU visa list for the current text: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:02018R1806-20251230. This site is a hotel and travel guide and does not issue visas, so confirm the detail with the authorities first.

Questions
Do Andorran citizens need a visa for Ibiza or Menorca?
No. Andorra is on the EU visa list of exempt nationalities, so a holiday in Spain, the Balearic Islands included, needs no visa. You can stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period across Schengen. Carry a valid passport.
How long can Andorran citizens stay in Spain without a visa?
Up to 90 days in any 180-day period. The count covers the whole Schengen area, not Spain alone, so days in France or Portugal count too. Keep your own record of travel dates, and check the official EU visa list.
Does an Andorran citizen need a visa for Formentera?
No. Formentera is part of Spain and the same visa-free rules apply. The island has no airport, so you fly to Ibiza and take a ferry from the port of Eivissa to La Savina. No separate permission is needed for the crossing.
What documents do Andorran travellers show at Ibiza Airport?
A valid Andorran passport is the main document. A border officer may also ask about your accommodation, your return booking and your funds, so keep those confirmations to hand. ETIAS and EES are new EU systems being introduced; check https://travel-europe.europa.eu/ before travelling.
